He is a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and is the founder of his private surgical practice, Shumway Cosmetic Surgery in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Shumway is well-known for performing TUBA (transumbilical breast augmentation), which is a unique way of inserting saline breast implants through the navel (belly button) without making incisions on the breast. Only a handful of surgeons in this country are skilled at this special augmentation technique. Dr. Shumway was the first surgeon to perform the TUBA in Europe in the summer of 2018. He's also famous for facelifts, CO2 laser resurfacing, rhinoplasty, tummy tucks, and so much more.
